Trawsfynydd
The artificial lake at Trawsfynydd and its decommissioned Magnox power station has been a site of fascination and unease for me, a half-forgotten sister of Llyn Celyn, which lies nearby. The buildings, designed by Basil Spence to resemble the Norman castles that ring the North Wales coast, represent an ironic and ongoing symbol of Wales' relation to England.
